Oil Free Food (SAAOL Cafe)

Most of us have a lifestyle which has minimal of physical work, no exercise and bad dietary habits i.e. sedentary lifestyle.

Zero Oil Concept

Sedentary lifestyle is the most popular sort of lifestyle adopted by people in our modern day. Few people engage in regular physical activity. The majority of us live sedentary lifestyles with little physical activity, little exercise, and poor nutritional habits.

Fat causes blockages in arteries (tubes that carry blood), such as coronary arteries, as we all know. Cholesterol and triglycerides are two types of fats. Over the course of years, they build up in layers. When these blockages grow severe, the tubes (arteries) become clogged, resulting in coronary artery disease (angina, heart attack).

For the previous 50 years, cholesterol (an animal fat) was thought to be the sole cause of blockages. Triglycerides (a type of plant fat) were only discovered to be equally responsible for causing blockages in the last decade or two. Triglyceride is the chemical term for “Cooking Oil,” as it is known to the general public. Oil businesses took advantage of people’s gullibility and misled them into believing that oils are safe by marketing their sales with slogans like “Cholesterol Free” or “Zero Cholesterol Oil.” Oil does not include cholesterol because it is derived from plant seeds, whereas cholesterol is derived from animal products (meat, milk & their products). The general public began to purchase these oils. They didn’t comprehend that these oils are 100 percent fats because they are triglycerides, and triglycerides are just as hazardous. Oils also contain a lot of calories (eight calories per gramme), which can lead to obesity, diabetes, and high blood pressure. It is important to keep the amount of fat in our food as low as possible (optimum requirement of fat by the body is 10 percent of the total calories).

Every food contains oil known as invisible fat or hidden fat, which can be easily retrieved from any food item. This implies that all visible sources of fat (such as cooking oil) should be eliminated entirely. This raises the question of how to create delectable cuisine without using any oil.

What if the food isn’t cooked in oil? Will there be a taste? If you think about it rationally, the answer is yes. Spices give the dish its flavour (masalas). Oil does not have a flavour of its own. Taste originates from oil, according to our mindset, which has been conditioned to believe this for many years. When we ask for the oil to be removed, however, the masalas are automatically removed. This occurs because the housewife is unsure where to put the spices when there is no oil in the frying pan. As a result, SAAOL came up with the concept of “Zero Oil.” “Zero Oil” refers to cooking without using any oil at all.

SAAOL also recognises that accepting water as a cooking medium is tough for many people’s mindsets. As a result, we’ve given water the moniker “Saaol Oil” when it’s employed as a cooking medium. There is no chance of ingesting cholesterol or triglycerides if you use the zero-oil approach in your cooking. Because the significant calorie gain is gone, this can also help with weight loss.

We can now confidently state that Saaol Oil is fat-free, cholesterol-free, mineral-rich, and beneficial to one’s health.
